Latest estimates indicate that €14,000 per minute is being spent online in Ireland and 70% or almost €10,000 of this is spent on websites outside the country. eCommerce is a trend that can no longer be ignored by SMEs and must be embraced.

 As part of Local Enterprise Week 2020, a new Regional E-Commerce cluster will be launched. This regional cluster will be for businesses that have been trading online for more than 12 months and are looking to boost their online sales. North East E-Commerce Cluster

Businesses in the North East need to be prepared to embrace eCommerce wholeheartedly to be in with a chance of ‘cashing in’ on the opportunity to sell more products online. The Local Enterprise Offices in Monaghan, Cavan, Meath and Louth, have developed a special programme called ‘eCommerce Cluster’ to assist local businesses get to the next level of online selling.  It will provide education and practical support that includes advice and training to make a success of the online aspect of their business; and to make sure that they will get a return for the investment of having an eCommerce website.

Whether it be issues with online marketing, finding which platform best suits your business or the logistics of trading online, this is a great opportunity to discuss these issues with likeminded owners/managers and tease out potential solutions.

The programme is open to businesses that have been trading online for the past 12 months and who have the capacity to avail of the supports on offer.
