Cross Border PLATO Kicks-off in Mid-Ulster

Plato EBR

PLATO EBR is all set to Launch PLATO into Mid-Ulster which provides an opportunity for small businesses in Monaghan to truly engage in a cross-border network by applying to a Mid-Ulster group which can take a smaller number of companies from neighbouring jurisdictions.

Ambitious  businesses in all industry sectors are being offered a unique opportunity to invest in their management and leadership skills through a customised programme underpinned by peer to peer learning and learning from the Bigger Guys. The programme offers owner managers a business support forum where they can network and discuss business growth challenges with established large ‘parent’ companies in the region. These ‘parent’ companies are leaders in their industry sectors, and support the programme by sharing their skills and experience within the network on an ongoing basis over a 12-month period. In the Mid-Ulster region, one of the leaders will be Uform’s Eamon Donnelly (Mid-Ulster Business Person of the Year).

The Mid Ulster PLATO EBR Programme is now open for applications to fill a maximum of 20 places for small growth-oriented companies to join the Programme. Places on the Programme are limited, if you think you may be interested but not sure how, please join us on Tuesday 24th APRIL from 10:00-12:00 at UForm, Toomebridge for an opportunity to hear more about the Programme, hear about Uform’s growth story and to network with like-minded individuals.

PLATO is a programme for entrepreneurs, driven by entrepreneurs. The Mid-Ulster PLATO group will provide a sound and confidential forum for owner/managers to challenge their thinking and develop their business potential through facilitated sharing of experiences and resources where the Programme is customised to suit the needs of the group at the outset of the Programme.

Mid Ulster District Council has recently become a partner in the long-established PLATO EBR (East Border Region) licensed Management and Development Programme Network. Mid Ulster District Council joins the four Local Enterprises Offices and County Councils in Cavan, Louth, Meath and Monaghan and two other Northern Ireland partners of Newry, Mourne and Down District Council and Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council in funding the cross-border network.
