This is a food marketing programme aimed at small food businesses with a product that is ready to be commercialised. The programme will enable participants to develop and grow their food business, taking into account the following: (i) market background and understanding the consumer; (ii) core technical issues; (iii) sales; and (iv) development and enhancement.
The programme will be delivered over a four month duration and will include a combination of group workshops and one-to-one mentoring.
Participants who complate the programme will be eligible to avail of Bord Bía's suite of follow-on programmes at the appropriate stage in market development.
At the final workshop, participants will get the opportunity to present their product to a panel for SuperValu and, if successful, can participate in a trial based in local shops, which in the right circumstances, could progress over time to a national listing with SuperValu.
