From Dragon's Den to Eastcoast Bakehouse - Alison Cowzer is co-founder of East Coast Bakehouse - a new large scale food manufacturing business (based in Drogheda, Co Louth) producing a range of cookies and biscuits for the Irish, UK and European markets. A dragon and investor on RTE's Dragon's Den, Alison has invested in a number of start-up enterprises. She is also a co-founder of The Company of Food working in a small group of High Growth Potential Irish Food SMEs and is director of both Elivar (an Irish start-up in the sports nutrition market) and the Ronald Mc Donald House (a charity that the supports the families of seriously ill children).
Alison is passionate about increasing the number of women in politics in Ireland and as a board member of Women for Election - recognizes a huge appetite in women accessing the training, mentoring and support services the organization offers in helping them embark on their political life journey.
