SMARTPHONE VIDEO TRAINING FOR MARKETING WITH PÓCA PRODUCTIONS 

Learn to film, edit, optimise and upload video content to market your business online using industry-standard techniques of video production with the technology and software available on a smartphone. 

We cover two styles of video -

  1. Representing your business/product or service in moving images without voice
  2. Interview or vlog where you, or others to tell your business story

  This 8 hour course will be run over 4 x 2 hour sessions via Zoom

Thursday 4th June - 9.30am to 11.30am

  • Optimising the camera settings on your smartphone to enhance filming
  • Introduction to smartphone filming equipment which you may or may not need  - links to all provided in course notes
  • Introduction to composition - what is in your shot and where to place it to draw your viewer's eye

 

Thursday 4th June -  2pm to 4pm

  • The value of pre-production - creating a storyboard
  • Filming techniques - demonstration using storyboard for video style 1
  • Setting up for Vlogging or interview (Style 2)

Homework - 

  1. create your own storyboard of a topic of your choice and film these shots
  2. Film a brief interview with someone in your household

Tuesday 9th June - 9.30am to 11.30am

Editing session 1 - Video Style 1

  • cutting clips to size, adding transitions
  • reducing or eliminating unwanted background audio
  • adding customiazable text and your log
  • adding music & copyright issues

Tuesday 9th June - 2pm to 4pm

Editing session 2 - Video Style 2 Interview/vlog

  • Editing interview down to size
  • Adding cutaway footage Similar to news interview/documentary
  • Using still images in video
  • Adding customized coloured slides with text as call to action/contact details at end
