Course Description

This course will give an insight into important areas such as, VAT expenses, VAT rates, VAT thresholds, important Revenue dates and deadlines, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of registering for VAT.

  • Registering for VAT – Why? When? The registration process
  • Allowable VAT expenses
  • The books and records that must be kept and for how long
  • VAT Thresholds and Rates
  • VAT Reverse Charge – Construction Industry
  •  VAT on EU transactions
  • VAT Post-Brexit (Imports & Exports)
  • VAT calculations
  • The VAT returns –
  • VAT 3 and RTD
  • ROS Demo on submitting a VAT 3 Return

Delivery Method:

  • Clear demonstrations by the trainer using Power Point slides and Excel for calculations.
  • A user-friendly case-study will be used as the training tool
  • Interactive learning.
  • All participants will be given a full set of detailed notes/ class slides at the beginning of the course – either by handouts or emailed to them (if online).
