This workshop is designed to enable local micro businesses and SME’s to gain practical insights and tips on how to create and use audio / podcast content. Priority will be given to Offaly participants.

This workshop is designed to enable local micro businesses and SME’s to


● gain practical insights and tips on how to create and use audio / podcast content as part of their entrepreneurial skill set.
● market their business online using this content.
● maximise their opportunities to win business using self-created digital content.
● communicate the story of their brand/business to new and existing
customers using storytelling techniques.

Course Objectives:
Online course training would be standardised across all digital platforms by using a cloud based audio editing software - Bandlab. Also includes signposting and access to dedicated resources including worksheets, checklists, onlinetutorials and post workshop support and guidance.

Outline Syllabus:
We will guide participants through some fundamentals in audio production / podcast making including


● How to use mobile technology to create audio content to share on websites & social media
● How to develop ideas and include storytelling in their created podcast.
● Basic audio production & recording skills
● Best practice for sharing content & boosting online presence
● Introduction to various hosting platforms and explanation of different formats.

Training Methodology - Utilising a blended learning approach with a combination of


● Online training using tutorials & industry specific practical examples
● Access to online resources & tutorial videos
● Break-out sessions (enabling networking, peer to peer learning & collaboration opportunities)
● Practical & hands-on activities and related tasks throughout the training to ensure meaningful engagement.

We break down the training step-by-step so participants have ample opportunity to apply the fundamentals of content during the workshop.


We use our online suite of materials and resources for additional support and to enable participants to reinforce any learnings. Additional online support is available for the participants that wish to access this material or have questions relating to the training.

Our training uses a combination of video, text and audio resources to accommodate different learning styles and needs.

Pre Training
We would request that participants complete a pre-course questionnaire so that we can ensure the teaching and learning is relevant to their needs and suitable for the equipment and technology that they will be using to access the course and to create their content.

During Training
We record participant attendance at each training session.

Post Training
We actively seek and review the feedback from participants and clients as part of our 365-degree continuous improvement approach.
