Food Works Programme 2016

Food Works Programme 2016:

The Food Works programme is an intensive programme structured to support, challenge, drive and accelerate young, ambitious, export focussed food and beverage businesses.

The Food Works Programme uniquely provides the collaborative expertise from three agencies: Bord Bia, Enterprise Ireland and Teagasc and other agency supports where appropriate. With access to technical, business and marketing experts, Food Works offers the best opportunity to accelerate and dynamically grow a globally focussed food business.

We have changed the structure of the Programme this year – based on a formal evaluation and the process is now 3 distinct phases for projects that are interested in participating on the Programme:

1 - Introduction Meetings:

From February through to April, the Food Works team will be hosting 40 minute Introduction Meetings with ambitious food entrepreneurs across Ireland. These meetings will help to establish if the Food Works Programme is the right support for each enquiry at specific stages of development. Direction will be also provided on sources of advice and supports. Introduction Meetings will take place in Cork, Dublin, Galway and Louth and enquiries should register on-line to express an interest in meeting the panel.

2 - Bootcamp:

Formal applications will be taken up to May 10th and it is anticipated that approx 25 finalists will be short-listed to attend a two day Bootcamp on 26th & 27th May. The boot-camp will include workshops, pitching opportunity, project assessment and advice by technical and commercial food industry experts as well as food specific investors. A final group of 12-15 is expected to be selected to participate in the intensive 6 month Programme.

3 - Intensive Programme:

The programme commences on 14th & 15th June 2016 and will run through to December 2016. The Programme includes focussed workshops, one to one mentoring, consumer panels, international study visit and support and advice to complete an Investor Ready Business Plan. The plan is completed to facilitate companies to raise the necessary investment to launch and scale their business in export markets.
