Public Consultation - European Commission - Services Passport

The European Commission under its Single Market Strategy have proposed the introduction of a Services Passport for providers of business services and construction services.  The Services Passport will simplify the administrative procedures for service providers who want to expand to other EU countries. http://bit.ly/1t4I1Lk

As part of the Commission’s work in developing the Services Passport they have launched a public consultation and are seeking views from stakeholders, particularly from construction service providers, on the effect the administrative and regulatory procedures and insurance requirements have on their attempts to provide their services in other EU countries.  The results of this consultation will provide invaluable input for the Commission in assessing the issues which the Services Passport will need to address.

The consultation on the proposal to introduce a services passport and address regulatory barriers in the construction and business services sectors, and on possible action to address barriers in the insurance sector http://bit.ly/1Ycv1PU will remain accessible until 26 July 2016.

We would encourage all interested parties to contribute to the consultations and to circulate it amongst your networks.
