Are you interested in setting up a business?

Start Your Own Business Course is for individuals to learn & develop the necessary skills and knowledge to start their own business. This course aims to build your confidence, to network you with others on the course & to guide you to sources of further supports for the future.

Delegates will be able assess the viability of business ideas and understand essential elements needed to bring an enterprise from to concept to profit. At the end of the programme delegates will understand the essential elements required to start up and run their own businesses effectively and will have the skills and knowledge to be able to create their own business plan and be aware of the various supports that exist. Employers’ taxes:
• How Books relate to tax
• How to set up and use the revenue online
• Demonstrations of bookkeeping will be given Via an Excel spreadsheet that show how to create a simple set of accounts suitable for creating a form 11 return. (On the online variant Delegates will be shown a fully functional version of a spreadsheet which will create an accurate profit and loss account and balance sheet, this will be supplied to them via our learning platform or via email)

Business Planning: To demonstrate to delegates the importance of comprehensive planning for their prospective business.
