PRONAV CLINICAL WINS TOP COUNTY ENTERPRISE AWARD
A supply chain services business from Sligo is this year’s winner of the Enterprise Award for 2023, Local Enterprise Office Sligo has announced.
Jim Kernan, of PRONAV Clinical took the top prize of €1500 and will now represent Local Enterprise Office Sligo at the 23rd National Enterprise Awards at the Mansion House in Dublin on the 1st June.
PRONAV Clinical provides customised supply chain services for early phase Clinical Trials being conducted in Europe and across the globe. Their primary clients are Pharmaceutical and Biotech innovators who are moving from laboratory based, pre-clinical development of new drugs to testing in Human Clinical Trials. The company, which was founded in 2019, is based at Dublin Road Business Park, Carraroe, Sligo and employs 7 staff.
PRONAV Clinical will now be competing against 30 other finalists from every local authority area for a share of the €35,000 winners prize fund as national judging gets underway in May. Categories this year include ‘Best Export Business,’ ‘Best Start-Up’ and ‘Innovation,’ along with “One to Watch” and a “Sustainability / Green” award in addition to eight regional awards.
Speaking at the award presentation, John Reilly, Head of Enterprise with Sligo County Council said: “Local Enterprise Office Sligo have been working with Jim and the team at PRONAV Clinical since early 2020. We have been hugely impressed with both their vision and their determination to grow their business and secure customers outside of Ireland. We are delighted to have them as our representative at the National Enterprise Awards Final on June 1st”.
Among the special guests at the presentation was Cathaoirleach of Sligo County Council, Cllr. Michael Clarke who said: “I would like to extend my sincere congratulations to Jim and all the team at PRONAV Clinical and wish them the very best of luck at the National Enterprise Awards Final. It is heartening to see emerging Sligo businesses competing for and winning business on the global stage and further emphasises the fact that Sligo is a great place to do business”.
