Local Enterprise Office South Cork supports Cork Businesses at Showcase 2015

Showcase 2015 South Cork ClientsIreland largest International Trade Fair welcomed gift buyers from 26 countries including UK, North America, Germany, Japan and China.  It is a vital business event for makers, designers and crafters to break into the export market and grow their businesses.

Over 20 Cork businesses took part in this year’s Showcase – Ireland’s Creative Expo.  Those supported by Local Enterprise Office South Cork included;

Lee River Leather based in Douglas, makers of quality contemporary leather, gifts and fashion accessories. Also supported by Local Enterprise Office South Cork was Kathryn Smyth, Midleton, who jewellery work inspired by sporting caught the eye of many trade buyers.  

Launching new products at the show were Mianra Artisan Soaps, Douglas and Stabledoor Pottery in Shanagarry placing their collection side by side with leading Irish designers and makers.  

Showcase highlights a mix of heritage and contemporary design from both emerging and established makers to inspire buyers with ideas on presenting Irish products.  A new creative entrepreneur Fergal O’Dea from O’Dea Irish Art exhibited his new collection of illustrations.  

These exhibitors participated the LEO Showcase Training programme which offered workshops and mentoring on trade show, pricing, product development and stand design in order to maximise their presence at Showcase.
