The purpose of this group is for all members to work collaboratively from the outset, to plan a 3 day trade visit to NI in early 2024.

Each group session will facilitate the group to work on a collective action plan to explore opportunities in the market for South Cork SMEs given NIs position in the UK and the Common Single Market.

The type of activities across the 6 sessions, will include –

• Setting Objectives for a collective NI Trade visit
• Agreeing an Action Plan for the group to set up a 3 day in market visit
• Examining the collective in-market contacts for the visit such as with NI Chamber of Commerce, FSB etc.
• Agreeing the market research activities that each member needs to undertake to set up at least 4 individual in-market meetings during the visit.

Learning Outcomes -

1. Engaged in organising a collaborative 3 day visit to examine opportunities in the NI market
2. Gained an understanding of the NI economic landscape and the key business opportunities post Brexit
3. Developed an action plan of activities to organise the visit
4. Examined options for individual meeting agendas during the visit
