Simon McKeever
Chief Executive
Irish Exporters Association

Simon McKeever’s career to date has encompassed senior executive roles in global financial markets, business consultancy in Ireland, and more recently an outstanding track record in development of trade and trade policy & strategy across Ireland and UK. In addition to his background in Financial Services, his recent role at the British Embassy in Dublin placed him at the forefront of joint trade strategy between Ireland and the UK, where he developed a close working relationship between UK Trade and Investment and Enterprise Ireland. He was the driving force behind the creation of the British-Irish Chamber of Commerce, and his leadership on the Agri-food agenda has created a joint initiative that has kicked off the first Irish-British Food Business Innovation Summit in Dublin.

Simon spent 18 years working in global financial markets, with RBC and AIB Capital Markets. He is widely travelled and has done considerable business in the Middle East, North Africa, Europe and the UK, in a business development capacity, winning new customers and rolling out new products.

Emma Kerins

Head of Policy & Public Affairs

Chambers Ireland

Having worked with Chambers Ireland since 2014, Emma was appointed Head of Policy and Public Affairs in September 2018.

Prior to working in Chambers Ireland, Emma worked as a political advisor in the Houses of the Oireachtas, as a project co-ordinator with the National Women’s Council of New Zealand and as a researcher for a number of human rights NGOs in Australia and Northern Ireland.

She holds and LLM from Queen’s Unviersity Belfast and an LLB in Law and European Studies from the University of Limerick. She also holds a postgraduate diploma from the PRII in Public Relations. 

Outside of her work with Chambers Ireland, Emma is a Director/Trustee with the YMCA Dublin and has also previously taught Political Communications at the European Institute of Communications.

Austin Rutledge
Chief Executive

Austin has over 25 years senior level experience with major international companies, following graduation from University College Dublin and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. He worked at a strategic level, covering the functions of Managing Director, Financial or Commercial Manager and Company Secretary within the sectors of training and consultancy, multinational computer sales and services, merchant banking and project management.

He has represented trade associations at the Revenue Commissioners Customs Consultative Committee for many years.

Austin has played a leading role in the development of the professional diploma course in Global Trade and e-Business on behalf of the Institute of International Trade in Ireland. He has also developed short export excellence programmes (in association with the Irish Exporters Association) which has achieved certification from the Irish Training and Employment Authority.
