“Spotlight on business” during Local Enterprise Week.

The first nationally co-ordinated ‘Local Enterprise Week’ takes place around the country from March 7 to 11 2016. Organised by the network of Local Enterprise Offices, it will be a week of events aimed at anyone thinking of starting a business, new or early stage businesses and growing SMEs. During Tipperary’s Local Enterprise Week the County will host a series of events aimed at stimulating business growth and new business creation to drive economic prosperity.  The schedule of events offers something for everyone, regardless of whether you want to develop a business idea, start a business or grow an existing enterprise. 

The “Who to Talk To” event on Monday, March 7 in Thurles is a must for those in search of inspiration, information and business advice. This event features funding workshops and information stands and will provide attendees with the opportunity to meet with all of the agencies charged with supporting enterprise start up and development in Tipperary.  Some of the highlights during the week will include a Craft Forum in Cahir which brings together leading experts to look at the challenges and opportunities facing the Sector. A Procurement Workshop on Tuesday, March 8 is designed to offer participants the confidence, knowledge and practical skills to tender successfully for public sector contracts. Attend a Breakfast for owner / managers to hear Blaise Brosnan MRI Wexford outline the Management Development Programme along with details of the European Enterprise Network.

Clinics, will feature strongly throughout the week and include Energy Efficiency, Web Marketing and Business Advice on Start up and Expansion. Seminars on Innovation, Digital Animation and Social Enterprise will take place at various locations across Tipperary during local Enterprise Week.   A series of familiarisation trips for Tourism Providers in the County have also been organised in conjunction with Tipperary Tourism Company and Lough Derg Marketing and will highlight the range and diversity of our County’s amenities and tourist offering.
