Network North Tipperary

Network North Tipperary holds monthly meetings featuring a guest speaker who addresses topics important to women in both their professional or personal development.  Following the speaker there is a networking opportunity for members with guests from other branches frequently invited to attend.  The Network is a forum for established women in business or fledgling entrepreneurs, or those starting out on their career path, to develop professional and social contacts.  Network Ireland hosts an annual National Conference and Awards ceremony.  Monthly meetings alternate between Nenagh and Thurles.  Membership is for 12 months from the date of joining and a membership fee applies.

National Women's Enterprise Day - the road to success Event #NWED

Join with business women from Kilkenny, Carlow, Tipperary, Wexford, Waterford, Limerick & Clare to network over dinner with Miriam O’Callaghan on Wednesday, Oct 19 followed by a business power breakfast on Thursday Oct 20. The breakfast on Thursday morning will feature a panel discussion with Regional Ambassadors Rachel Doyle of the Arboretum, Hannah Wrixon of Last Minute Minders and Siobhan Donohoe of IrishTV.ie. This is a unique event designed for women in business to gather and network, share their own experiences, peer to peer, learn new skill sets and receive advice about key aspects of business from experienced guest speakers and network facilitators.

The event is being held in the Kilkenny River Court Hotel on Wed, Oct 19th: 5pm for arrival and registration, finishing at 10pm (with dinner)

Breakfast on Thursday, Oct 20th starts at  8.30am, finishing at 11am.

Cost per ticket: €35 which includes Dinner and Breakfast

EXXCEL Programme now recruiting

  • EXXCEL is a 6 month, part time programme designed for females who have a business idea with high growth and export potential.Ideas can include ventures that are Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths(STEM) related. 
  • EXXCEL is the only programme of its kind in Ireland focusing exclusively on Female Entrepreneurs involved in the STEM sectors. The Programme is based in the Rubicon Centre, CIT, Cork which is Ireland’s most successful campus incubator. 
  • This Enterprise Ireland supported programme consists of 6 training days, one Saturday per month over 6 months. Training topics include; Business Planning, Market Research & Marketing, Sales & Selling, Funding and Scaling, 
  • This training is supplemented by intensive one to one Mentoring delivered by a team of expert Mentors. 
  • Additional to the high quality training and intensive mentoring, participants gain access to the broad CIT Entrepreneurship and Innovation Eco System.  The Rubicon supports entrepreneurs at all stages of development. It is currently home to over 60 companies and has over 400 alumni companies.  

Securing a place on the EXXCEL Programme is through a competitive process including interview. The programme is FREE of charge to participants successful in securing a place.The next programme is scheduled to start NOVEMBER 2016.

ACORNS Programme

Applications are now being sought for a second funded programme aimed at providing early stagefemale entrepreneursliving in rural Ireland with the knowledge, support and networking opportunities to advance the development of their businesses. Entitled ACORNS - Accelerating the Creation Of Rural Nascent Start-ups - the programme is focused on unleashing the potential of female entrepreneurs who have recently started a business or who have taken concrete steps towards doing so.   There is no restriction on the sector in which the new business is focused. However, the selection process is competitive. If you are a suitable female entrepreneur who might be interested in applying for the ACORNS programme, access information and register your interest at www.acorns.ie. Application forms will be sent to interested applicants immediately. The deadline for receipt of completed applications is Thursday 22 September2016 and the programme will begin on the 10th October, at the ACORNS residential Development Forum in Mullingar, Co.
