This practical course aims to assist Learners develop relevant, compliant and practical safety management systems (Safety Statement) for their business. The course will focus on risk management and introduce a range of tools and requirements to achieve a safe workplace, including the Health and Safety Authority's BE SMART tool for creating a Safety Statement and risk assessments. On completion of the program Learners will understand how to complete basic risk assessments and develop safety procedures and systems for their business setting in accordance with current health and safety and best practice requirements.

Participants will also be offered 1 to 1 mentoring to provide assistance and guidance with their own specific business requirements.
