• Have mapped their business idea on a Lean Model Canvas: validating a viable business
• Have assessed markets to see if there is a need
• Understand the value of market research and testing and refining their business idea
• Know how to market and sell their business
• Understand the concepts of business finances and the importance of cashflow management and online accounts packages
• Have gained information on sources of funding
• Have learned about the legal aspects of business formation, including health and safety and insurance considerations
• Have evaluated their “Elevator Pitch” and be able to pitch their business for funding if required
• Understand the power in strategic networking for business development
• Understand the importance of Information Technology in gaining competitive advantage, including ECommerce, social media, and video marketing
• Have prepared and assessed a business plan
