RTE Dragon’s Den star will join free event to offer Irish SMEs practical information and advice on increasing and improving online presence to reach new customers around the world

Amazon has announced that its Academy business event, aimed at helping SMEs to increase their online sales and reach new markets, will take place in Ireland for the first time in November.

The free virtual event, held in partnership with Enterprise Ireland on Friday 6th November, will help Irish SMEs and entrepreneurs to improve customer experience, grow their business through e-commerce and boost their export sales. Irish businesses are encouraged to register for the free tickets here.

The exclusive event will feature industry leaders, successful entrepreneurs and Amazon experts who will help SMEs in Ireland increase and improve their online presence and reach new customers around the world. Amazon speakers will provide advice and insights on growing sales on Amazon and a selection of independent experts, including RTE Dragon’s Den investor Alison Cowzer, will offer guidance on the wide range of issues facing businesses in Ireland today.

The Amazon Academy Ireland has been created in collaboration with Enterprise Ireland, Enterprise Nation, Design & Crafts Council Ireland and the Local Enterprise Office. The event will feature interviews, panel discussions and interactive Q&A sessions with successful Amazon entrepreneurs and marketing, HR, accounting, IP and legal experts.

“Irish SMEs have been the backbone of our economy for decades and we’re excited to bring the Amazon Academy to Ireland for the first time to support, engage and inspire the next generation of world-class entrepreneurs across the island,” said Simon Donegan, Head of Seller Services at Amazon. “We’re looking forward to welcoming hundreds of SMEs to our virtual event on November 6th where they’ll meet and learn from some of Ireland’s leading business minds.”
