Design4Growth Programme for South East Region and Fuelling Ambition Roadshow announced for Waterford

Waterford Local Enterprise Office announces two major events for businesses in Waterford.

Waterford Local Enterprise Office in association with the Department of Business, Enterprise & Innovation and the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland are announce a Design4Growth programme and the LEO along with Enterprise Ireland and Network Ireland, in partnership with the Entrepreneurs Academy, announce details of the Fuelling Ambition Roadshow for Waterford.

Design4Growth, a programme to assist micro and small businesses grow their business through the use of strategic design, is being rolled out to the South East of Ireland.

Design4Growth aims to support micro and small enterprises to grow their businesses through the strategic use of design. The programme offers over €10,000 in design and business supports with a €1,000 investment required from companies who are selected to participate in the full programme.

Companies based in Waterford, which have three or more employees and would like the opportunity to be part of this initiative, are invited to attend a free information session on April 12th at The Garden Room of the Medieval Museum in Waterford City. The session will demonstrate how the latest design techniques can be used to positively impact on you and your business and how design can play an integral role in the innovation process across all stages of goods and service development and in strategic management techniques and processes.

The Waterford ‘Lead and Succeed’ Fuelling Ambition Roadshow for female entrepreneurs is set to take place on March 26th at The Granville Hotel at 5.30pm.

The event is targeting existing and potential female entrepreneurs and aims to encourage, support and drive the ambition of female entrepreneurs nationally by showcasing thriving Irish businesswomen and entrepreneurs. Following the success of last year, the roadshow will include a Leadership Masterclass and an Elevator Pitch competition with a cash prize package sponsored by Facebook worth €2,000 at each location, as well as additional prizes including:

 

  • 10 sessions with Enterprise      Ireland Mentors and attendance at Enterprise Ireland’s Excel at Export      Selling training programme
  • Annual membership of Network      Ireland

Participants at the roadshow will hear from experts and successful female entrepreneurs who will share their experiences and insights on the road to business success. Representatives from Enterprise Ireland, the LEOs and Network Ireland will be on hand to discuss the wide range of supports available to female entrepreneurs and those thinking of starting their own businesses. The events will also provide an opportunity to network with like-minded entrepreneurs and business people.
