Impacts of Covid on Overseas Tourism & Rebuilding the industry with Tourism Ireland

Overseas tourism contributed over €5 Billion to our island’s economies in 2019, driven by over 11 Million incoming visitors; this helped to support over 325,000 jobs in communities across the island. As the Covid-19 restrictions are relaxed and businesses begin the process of unlocking, what challenges face our tourism industry in rebuilding business from overseas?

Niall Gibbons, Chief Executive of Tourism Ireland – the organisation that markets the island of Ireland overseas –  will address this and other vital questions and will share his insights on rebuilding tourism –  our largest indigenous industry.

The Cliff Hotel Group will also  be present to share their story about the changes they  made, impacts on their business and steps the Cliff Group have taken, and are taking, to reassemble business.

This event is delivered as a collaboration between the Waterford Local Enterprise Office and Dungarvan and West Waterford Chamber
