Revenue Online Services - Evening Workshop

This workshop aims to provide participants with the knowledge to manage their tax activities online, through the Revenue Online Service (ROS) site.

Ideally participants should have completed Bookkeeping and End of Year Accounts courses.  All should have their accounts for the period (generally their preceding financial year) up to date and properly categorised. All should be registered with ROS.

The workshop focuses on giving participants the skills to properly understand and work the ROS system.

The core areas of the workshop are:

  • ROS explained.
  • Understanding the different ROS section and field requirements.
  • Inputting, saving and submitting data in ROS.
  • Matching and transferring accounts data to relevant fields in ROS.
  • Filing tax returns through ROS.
  • Making payments through ROS.
  • Keeping company details up to date.
  • ROS v MyAccount - difference explained.

On completion of this programme it is anticipated that each participant will:

  • Understand the difference between the relevant Revenue online applications.
  • Be aware which sections of the ROS return apply to them and their business and understand the information required within each.
  • Be able to input relevant figures from their accounts into the appropriate ROS fields.
  • Know how to submit their tax returns through ROS.
  • Be confident in carrying out tasks within the ROS system.
