Irish Revenue have indicated that over 90,000 businesses will be affected and DBEI highlighted that 85% of SMEs at risk following the withdrawal period.Declarations will be subject to strict compliance and documentation requirements. Goods shipments between Ireland and UK may be delayed or impounded and penalties incurred. Early action must take place to set up compliance procedures and get processes in place, which is essential for Ireland’s business and employment.
