Retail Restart

Miriam Simon of PTO.ie will deliver a series of webinars on Monday 18th May and Thursday 21st May aimed at energising the retail sector in County Waterford to prepare for re-opening and recovery in a post Covid-19 environment.

The programme is supported and promoted by Waterford Business Supports Hub, a collaboration involving the Waterford City & County Council, Waterford Chamber, Dungarvan West Waterford Chamber, Waterford Business Group and the Local Enterprise Office Waterford.

The programme consists of a double webinar on Monday evening (6.30 to 8.30) and a single webinar on Thursday evening (7.00 to 8.00) and will focus on supporting SME retail businesses to recalibrate during Covid-19 closure and to prepare for a post Covid-19 marketplace.

Miriam Simon is a highly respected Retail Strategist with over 25 years high level experience across the Multiples, Big Box Retail and Independents. She has held a number of senior operational roles in several multi-national companies: Director for Monsoon Accessorize, Director for B&Q, Assistant Vice President for TKMaxx, Head of Retail Operations for Life Style Sports. Throughout her career, Miriam has built a strong reputation for having excellent commercial acumen alongside a talent for connecting with and building strong and engaged Teams. This has led to transformational growth within the businesses she has worked with, regularly yielding double digit sales growth.

 In recent years, Miriam has also been a Director for Age Action, a member of the Institute of Directors and a Mentor for Enterprise Ireland.

 Topics include

• Collaborations. Leveraging your network

• True connection with your customer – Now. And going forward

• Practical actions to be “Restart Ready”

This final session is more consultative and designed to give the retailers attending an open forum to get trading strategy advice.

Webinars will be delivered via Zoom with a maximum of 25 participants per webinar series so as to facilitate optimum interaction.
