Engenuity Midlands Engineering Network are to represent Ireland at the European Enterprise Promotional Awards for 2020 in Berlin this November. The European Enterprise Promotion Awards (EEPA) reward projects from across participating countries that work to promote entrepreneurship and small business at a national, regional and local level through a variety of initiatives.

In July of this year while many businesses were building resilience strategies, Enterprise Ireland selected Engenuity Midlands Engineering Cluster to represent Ireland in the category: Investing in Entrepreneurial Skills. There were over 185 National EEPA entries for consideration from 27 participating countries. The EEPA National Coordinators selected 49 of these projects for the EEPA jury to choose from.

We are delighted to have been included in the final shortlist of 4 projects which will complete at a national level in Berlin in November. The other finalists include; Het internet Ookuwzaak representing Belgium; Mobile Workshops from Estonia and Le PORTAIL DU REBOND representing France.

The Engenuity Engineering Network was set up in 2017 to promote market-led innovation, stakeholder collaboration, best practices and product/trade development among the Midlands Engineering Cluster. Engenuity acts as an exchange forum where members can build links, share experiences and undertake joint commercial activity.

The network is based on the knowledge that Engineering firms thrive when they work to support each other. Engenuity enables that access to support by facilitating workshops, networking events, guest speakers and member presentations. By sharing knowledge of the sector and support bodies, engineering firms in the Midlands can continue to grow.
