Marketing Opportunity - Local Enterprise Village at National Ploughing Championships

The National Ploughing Championships are being held in  17th-19th September 2019 in Ballintrane, Fenagh, Co. Carlow where over 250,000 consumers will visit a 50 acre exhibition and trade arena.  This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the quality and high standards of goods and services supported by the Local Enterprise Offices.

As part of its National Programme the Local Enterprise Offices are hosting a Local Enterprise Village to provide an opportunity for clients to take full advantage of this unique consumer event.  Each Local Enterprise Office has a stand available for its clients.

LEO Westmeath is now inviting any clients interested in availing of this stand to email our office by Friday April 19thPlease note that priority will be given to enterprises manufacturing their own product or offering an innovative service relevant to the audience expected at the show.  Once your expression of interest has been received it will be considered centrally and successful applicants will be advised by email Mid-May, 2019.

  • Businesses must be trading at least 12 months
  • Business must be willing to participate in pre-promotion

Chosen exhibitors will be expected to attend a client briefing and photography session at one of the following dates:

  • 19th June 2019 – 10am-4pm
  • 20th June 2019 – 10am-4pm

Exhibitors will be advised of full details at confirmation of booking stage.  The session will commence at 10am.  Attendance at one of these sessions is compulsory as part of your booking.  These sessions provide you with the opportunity to 1) obtain guidance and timelines on the NPA Exhibition, 2) obtain high quality photography which is used for signage, publicity and PR and 3) Tips and skills to assist you to plan effectively for the event.

Please note that set up on site will be subject to the NPA regulations.  However, we envisage that setup will be scheduled for 14th-15th September and all companies will be allocated a 4 hour set up time slot during same.  No stands will be permitted to be set up the day before or morning of the event as per the NPA’s regulations. 

As part of this ‘Local Enterprise Village’ each company will receive:

  • Exhibition Space 3 x 2 meters
  • 2 x Exhibitors Passes
  • 1 x space in exhibitor car parking area (general parking is free at the event)
  • Electricity Supply
  • 2 x 13 amp Sockets (any additional electricity requirements must be booked in advance with the providers and will be subject to additional charges)
  • Spot Lights x 2
  • Access to PR Opportunities
  • Exhibition Advice

The cost of stands is highly subsidised and costs €500 for a 3 x 2 meter stand. Please note that this is first and foremost an opportunity to showcase your products and build contacts with a view to future sales as opposed to being an event to be measured by sales made over the 3 days.   Food companies can serve samples only or sell products for home use.
