Euro Stallions is a stallion semen agency offering services whereby breeders can access semen from top class stallions around the world. Artificial reproduction techniques make it possible for semen to be chilled and frozen and subsequently used to inseminate a mare in any part of the world. Artificial reproduction removes the limits of logistics in sport horse breeding. The business is separated into three separate areas:
(1) Stallion Semen Importation and Exportation Agency - Euro Stallions acts as a representative for stallion owners who are based in mainland Europe. Worldwide orders are handled on behalf of the stallion owner and commission is earned on stud fees sold. In many ways, Euro Stallions acts as a broker for studs around the world. Euro Stallions is now Europe’s largest stallion semen agency.
(2) Stallion Semen Collection, Freezing & Exportation - In March 2019, Euro Stallions established a new EU Approved stallion semen and embryo collection and freezing centre in Durrow, Co. Offaly. This allows them to export semen from their resident stallions, Mermus R and Pilothago and also to offer this same service to stallion owners based in Ireland who own a stallion with EU customers. In October 2019, they will begin offering semen freezing services. This will make it even easier and more cost effective for stallion owners to market and distribute their own stallions around the world.
(3) Euro Pharma – In September 2019, they will provide high quality pharma products for Equine Fertility treatment. Euro Pharma will focus on three main areas:
