Sonya Lennon

A seasoned speaker with clients including Google, Accenture, Citi, AIB, Eversheds, UKTI, Irish Life and Dublin Chamber, designer and entrepreneur Sonya Lennon is a tiny bundle of fearless passion who loves to tell a good yarn. All her experience is woven into story of style, creation and starting from scratch to build value.

Sonya has three decades as a prominent fashion stylist, broadcaster, designer, businesswoman and social entrepreneur. A fervent supporter of Irish Design, she has produced award winning fashion films supporting Irish fashion design and has twice been elected onto the Board of the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland and sat on the Advisory Board for Ireland's Year of Design 2015.

frockadvisor is Sonya's current focus, a cross platform digital service supporting over 200 independent fashion retailers and designers. It is an app amplified across social and web, offering discovery, promotion and sales lead generation. frockadvisor is multi-award winning company and a HPSU (High Potential Start Up) client of Enterprise Ireland.


Dr. Xuemei Germaine – MicroGen Biotech

Dr. Xuemei Germaine is the founder & CEO of MicroGen Biotech-an Irish biotech start-up with a mission to feed the world with safer food. Dr. Germaine lead her team developed patented microbiome platform technology for screening lead microbes for increasing food safety, soil health and crop yield. While working for Pfizer for 6 years, she set up ribosome display and high-throughput screening technologies for antibody drug discovery. Dr. Germaine is a native Chinese. She had a PhD degree in biotechnology and worked in life science sector for over 20 years both in China and Ireland. Dr. Germaine has extensive knowledge of Chinese market penetration of start-ups with disruptive technologies. 

Karen Keane – Bean & Goose

Karen and Natalie Keane are sisters and the founders of Bean and Goose. They make chocolate at Last Tree Farm based in the Wexford countryside, Ireland.  Bean & Goose creates a range of chocolate bars, seasonal and Irish whiskey truffles, sharing slabs of chocolate and seasonal, gifting products. Their chocolate is made using the complex and rich flavours of single origin chocolate paired with flavours and ingredients that reflect and celebrate the Irish seasons.  Design is a very important layer to the ban & Goose story. They work closely in collaboration with designers, illustrators, food producers and other brands to bring different elements to their products. Bean & Goose products are stocked in 60-70 independent stores, design spaces and Cafes in Ireland & Northern Ireland. These include Avoca, The Kilkenny Group, Shannon Airport & Teeling Whiskey. The company also provides bespoke products for the event & corporate sector. Recent clients include DAA, Facebook and 3 Arena.

Maura Bell – The Irish National Heritage Park

Maura Bell, Manager at the Irish National Heritage Park, Ferrycarrig, Wexford. Maura Bell has been Manager of The Irish National Heritage Park for the past 17 years. In her role she is responsible for the 35 acre park, a 220 seater restaurant, a very large craft and gift shop and manages a team of 30 people. She is the current President of the Rotary Club of Wexford. Maura is also the County Wexford Trails representative and is an active member of Visit Wexford.    

Caroline Wafer

Caroline Wafer is a director of EASE; an educational and study equipment company based in County Kilkenny. With a background in marketing she manages all marketing activity both online and offline. EASE has a number of businesses: EASE Maths, our international range and EASE Education our Irish education supply company with catalogue, large e-commerce websites and social media. She has recently completed a Msc in Digital Marketing, developing a skillset which is vital in any business and enables the company to grow and develop into new markets.
