Content:
A manual and computerised payroll course which will give each participant the principle of working a computerised payroll to its full potential. This is a very practical course involving all participants. The approach is easy to follow, step by step, in plain understandable language.
Topics:
- Practical exercise on the calculations of wages - Gross to Net
- Looking at tax credits, rates of tax, USC, PRSI rates and calculations
- Learning about the cumulative, week 1 basis and emergency basis
- Completion of tax deduction cards
- Completion of monthly P30 return
- Learning about single, separate and joint assessment
Using the Computer:
- Big Red Book Computerised system - setup of company - name, contact details, employee's records
- Inputting wages records for employees
- Checking Tax Deduction Cards
- Reports - P30. Issuing a P45
- Setting up a company mid-year and inputting wages data to year end
- Reports - P35, P60
