Content:

A manual and computerised payroll course which will give each participant the principle of working a computerised payroll to its full potential.  This is a very practical course involving all participants.  The approach is easy to follow, step by step, in plain understandable language.

Topics:
 

• Practical exercise on the calculations of wages - Gross to Net
• Looking at tax credits, rates of tax, USC, PRSI rates and calculations
• Learning about the cumulative, week 1 basis and emergency basis
• Completion of tax deduction cards
• Completion of monthly P30 return
• Learning about single, separate and joint assessment

Using the Computer:

• Big Red Book Computerised system - setup of company - name, contact details, employee's records
• Inputting wages records for employees
• Checking Tax Deduction Cards
• Reports - P30.  Issuing a P45
• Setting up a company mid-year and inputting wages data to year end
• Reports - P35, P60
