‘MOVE TO MAYO’
Move to Mayo, a promotional campaign by Mayo County Council in conjunction with iRadio will launch Monday next, August 23rd. The campaign aims to showcase Mayo as the best place to live and work offering an exceptional work/life balance. Mayo is one of the most entrepreneurial counties in Ireland with a multitude of enterprise hubs dispersed throughout the county, offering plenty of choice and flexibility for business start-ups and remote working opportunities.
Mayo can be the perfect location for you to set up or relocate your business to, providing a strong entrepreneurial community to base yourself in, as well as internationally renowned amenities and attractions to enjoy when not working. There are no barriers to operating your business from Mayo. Throughout the campaign, we will hear from successful businesses that have made the move to Mayo. To help showcase what Mayo has to offer, iRadio will make the move to Mayo and will be broadcasting live from various locations throughout the county all week, from August 23rd to August 27th.
The highlight of this campaign sees Mayo County Council, in partnership with the Halo Business Angel Network, the Western Development Commission (WDC) and the European Entrepreneurial Region launch a dedicated business competition offering a €10,000 prize fund for a business to re-locate to Mayo and base your operations here. As well as that, the costs of renting a space in one of the many hubs located all around the county will be covered for a year through Connectedhubs.ie. Head of Enterprise at Mayo County Council, John Magee outlined “We are delighted to drive this Move to Mayo Campaign. Mayo has an unrivalled environment for a great work-life balance, and we are encouraging businesses/individuals to consider relocating or setting up a business, here in the County. With recent investment in a network of over 16 Enterprise Hubs and Broadband Connection Points in locations right around Mayo, there is limitless opportunities for start-ups and entrepreneurs. With the generous support of our partners at the Halo Business Angel Network, the WDC and the European Entrepreneurial Region, the opportunity to win a substantial relocation and start-up fund of 10k for your business venture through the ‘Move to Mayo’ competition is a significant start.”

- Applicant must be an Irish resident or capable of relocating to Ireland and not currently living in Mayo
- Proof of a rented premises/hub & business registration in Mayo to be provided before funds can be drawn down
- Successful applicant agrees to future promotional material that may be required from time to time
- Funding to be spent assisting with relocation costs of moving your business to Mayo/setting up a new business in Mayo/growing your business from Mayo
