Senco Sensory Solutions (Ray O’Brien)Senco Sensory Solutions - Ray O'Brien.jpg

After spending 20 years running several businesses in Germany for the American Military, Ray returned to Ireland in 2004. He became part of the care team for his brother Gerard, who has cerebral palsy and is a wheelchair user. After redesigning his house to suit his needs and allow him more independence, Ray became quite involved, on a voluntary basis, in the Special Needs Sector.

This journey brought him down a rabbit hole which highlighted the unavailability of products required in the Special Needs market. There was a huge demand for bespoke products to suit people’s individual needs. Hundreds of hours were spent designing, rejigging and installing bespoke and once off products for people with special needs. This led Ray to the world of Sensory Integration and Multi-Sensory Rooms.

After realizing that a more generic approach would help more people and faster, Ray decided to set up a team of professional tradesmen to bring to life the designs that, up until then, were only on paper. Since then Senco Sensory Solutions have gone from strength-to-strength and continue to work on a fantastic range of products that now benefit people worldwide.

Senco Sensory Solutions recently launched their own range of retail products, from ear defenders to weighted products, and they continue to work on their Multi-Sensory Rooms and specialised products. Changing the world, one sensory room at a time!
