Bertha’s Revenge Gin Distillery Tour & Tasting

followed by a spot of lunch at Ballyvolane House

Justin Green & Antony Jackson of Ballyvolane House Spirits Company will be hosting a Bertha’s Revenge Gin Distillery Tour, & Gin Tasting followed by a long-table lunch at Ballyvolane House, Castlelyons, Co. Cork.

The tour will kick-off at 12noon in the main house and guests will move through the gardens to the distillery which is fittingly located in an old cattle shed in the farmyard at Ballyvolane House. Bertha’s Revenge Irish Milk Gin uses whey alcohol from local dairy farmers here in Cork, together with our own natural well water and an interesting mix of locally foraged and grown botanicals. A former dairy farm, Ballyvolane literally translates from Gaelic as ‘the place of springing heifers’ - a testament to the fertility and natural diversity of the land on which the estate lies. Ballyvolane House practices a field to fork philosophy when it comes to food. The Ballyvolane House Spirits Company is determined to echo this by championing a grass to glass approach for everything we bottle. Participants will be given the full run-down of the workings of the distillery and Bertha’s story. Bertha’s Revenge Gin tipples and bites will be served before lunch. A 2-course long-table lunch will take place after the tour and tasting.

Wednesday, 12th October, 12pm – 3pm

€35 per person
