  1. Tell us about your business.

Forgotten China sources old (mainly vintage) china and then upcycles it into beautiful china pieces, including bespoke lighting features, unique jewellery creations and natural soy wax candles.

Each piece of china chosen for our creations tells a story and showcases a beautiful design that harks back to an age gone by, or is reminiscent of the plates and cups on the tables of our mothers and grandmothers.

LEO DLR has supported my business by;

  • Providing me with a Mentor who was invaluable in the initial stages of the business.
  • providing Forgotten China with an Trading Online Voucher which allowed me to optimise my website and therefore enable my potential customers to locate my website quickly and effectively when searching online.

  

  1. What is your best sales tip?

  • Believe in yourself and your product 100% because this passion and self-belief shines through during all communications with your customers.
  • Keep making those sales calls!

  

  1. What was the best business advice you have received? 

The “to-do” list is endless when you have your own business so learn how to plan your time effectively and make sure that you keep your focus on the long term goals and strategy.

  1. What are the best digital tools you have used to grow your business?

Picmonkey - Great tool for editing images

Dropbox - Excellent storage solution for files and images

Google Analytics - Useful tool for analysing website traffic, especially if you are tracking specific marketing activity.

  

  1. What advice do you have for other entrepreneurs? 

Set daily, weekly and monthly goals so that you know exactly what you want & need to achieve within a certain time frame. This really helps for planning your time effectively and holding yourself accountable.
