Tourism

Tourism in the County of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown plays an important role to sustain the local economy.  Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown is a large area with long coastal frontage stretching from Booterstown in the north to Shankill in the south.  It has a strong history and has many well-known landmarks including Dun Laoghaire itself, Dalkey, and Killiney, with Dalkey dominating a very strong cultural influence in the area.

Inland there is a wide range of attractions from Horse Racing, Golf, Parks, Mountains, Historical Houses and a range of other outdoor activities.  The new Dundrum Town Centre has become one of the largest shopping complexes in the world providing a diverse experience for the ‘Shopper’.

Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown Tourist Information Centre offers a complete tourism experience providing first class customer service combined with all of the information you may need to explore both the local Dun Laoghaire area and further afield.  We provide a window into what is available around the County for tourists visiting Ireland.  Our mission is to inspire visitors to spend some meaningful time in Dun Laoghaire and its environs exploring all that our costal town has to offer, as well as motivating them to travel further afield and experience the rest of the County.
