Founded in 2019 by Amy and Marc Herbert, the Little Wax Company is a Balbriggan based, small family business who specialise in producing luxury home fragrances which include wax melts, reed diffusers, room sprays and candles all of which are hand poured on-site before being packaged and sent out to customers.
Throughout their journey, The Little Wax Company has been actively supported by Local Enterprise Office, Fingal and have improved productivity in their business by participating in the Lean for Micro Programme which helped the business to identify and eliminate inefficiencies. The Little Wax Company have also benefited from supports such as a Business Expansion Grant, Business Priming Grant and a Trading Online Voucher.
With the support of the Local Enterprise Office, Fingal The Little Wax Company also successfully completed the Green for Micro Programme, which is a Local Enterprise Office initiative that enables small businesses with up to 10 employees to assess their environmental impact and discover how to improve their carbon footprint.
The Green for Micro programme has allowed the Little Wax Company to become a more environmentally friendly business as the products are now produced from 70% recyclable materials which can be subsequently recycled after use.
Speaking about undertaking the Green for Micro Programme, Marc Herbert refers to how “Working with the Local Enterprise Office, they have been really supportive in helping us work through the Programme and allowing us to then be conscious of the decisions we need to make to be able to offer more sustainable products.”
