Minister Richmond visits Local Enterprise Office Fingal to Meet with Client Companies

Minister of State for Employment Affairs and Retail Business, Neale Richmond T.D. was in Fingal today where he paid a visit to Local Enterprise Office Fingal.

The Minister was welcomed by Mayor of Fingal Cllr Howard Mahony, AnnMarie Farrelly (Chief Executive of Fingal County Council), Oisín Geoghegan (Head of Enterprise, Fingal) and the LEO Fingal team. During his visit, Minister Richmond was given an overview of recent key achievements of LEO Fingal and a summary of the role the Local Enterprise Office plays in the local community.

The visit to the Fingal Office is the latest in a series of nationwide visits by Minister Richmond who is keen to meet the Local Enterprise Office teams and engage with some of their client companies.

As part of his visit, Minister Richmond also met with the owners of six Client Companies based in Fingal. A diverse range of businesses including: The Little Wax Company who offer a wide range of home fragrance products, including candles, room sprays and reed diffusers, Baldoyle based Quality Building Materials who supply flat roofing materials and systems to trade professionals, Prints of Ireland who create stunningly innovative Art Prints, Tote Bags and Greeting Cards that celebrate the language and beauty of Ireland and Milk Bath who produce handcrafted, award-winning bathing, sleep and wellness products.

 

Minister with Cream of the Crop

The Minister also met with both Cream of the Crop and Parenting Institute Ltd T/A Platform55, who were crowned winner and runner up at this year’s Fingal Enterprise Awards. Cream of the Crop are a food-tech enterprise who upcycling and using surplus ingredients to produce natural, delicious and healthy artisanal gelatos, sorbets and snacks, while Parenting Institute Ltd T/A Platform55 are a Malahide based digital company who offer programmes to managers empowering them to support their employees through key life events which can impact the workplace.

Minister Neale Richmond said: “It’s been fantastic to visit the Local Enterprise Office here in Fingal and meet with the LEO team here and a range of diverse client companies who provide an impressive array of products and services in the locality.

He added: “Fingal has much to offer as a location for doing business and it’s encouraging to see how committed the LEO team is in facilitating the development and success of their clients.”

“The level of support provided by Local Enterprise Offices to businesses nationwide should not be understated. Key Supports provided by the Local Enterprise Office network such as Mentoring, funding and training can be crucial to businesses across every sector.
