Credit Review

Credit Review was first established in 2010 by the Minister for Finance to ensure the flow of credit to viable Irish SMEs (including farming enterprises), providing simple and effective credit reviews and appeals process for business owners who had been refused credit from participating banks.

Credit Review are independent of the banking sector, while working closely with participating banks to achieve successful outcomes for the small business owners they represent.

Credit Reviews team includes a panel of expert professionals with frontline SME and farming enterprise finance experience, with keen commercial awareness to understand the challenges and opportunities for Irish enterprise. 

Who is Eligible for Credit Review:

SMEs, sole traders and farm enterprise, with an application for credit between €1,000 and €3 million with one of the participating banks: AIB, Bank of Ireland, Permanent TSB or Ulster Bank which has been refused, reduced or withdrawn within in the past 28 days.
