eCommerce Cluster

ecom clusterMonaghan's eCommerce Cluster

Latest estimates indicate that €14,000 per minute is being spent online in Ireland and 70% or almost €10,000 of this is spent on websites outside the country. eCommerce is a trend that can no longer be ignored by SMEs and must be embraced. To help SMEs in the process, Local Enterprise Office Monaghan has launched a new eCommerce Cluster for businesses in the county. Businesses that have been trading online for the past 12 months are invited to join this cluster and avail of the supports on offer to help to grow and develop the ecommerce element of the business.

Benefits of Membership Include:

  • Website Audit & Review by an Ecommerce Analyst : Each cluster member will receive an audit of their current website where areas of imporvement will be highlighted in a website review document.
  • Measurement of Sales Activity : Baseline data will be initially taken, measuring current sales activity and then again on completion of the programme, ensuring impact and enhanced sales activity are realised.
  • Monthly Cluster Meetings: The cluster will be joined by external guest speakers offering an insight to the cluster theme for that month.
  • 1 to 1 Mentoring: Each member can avail of a one-to-one mentoring service to work on and help improve areas identified in the website audit process.
  • eCommerce Improvement Plan: Each member will receive a tailored business improvement plan so that they can develop and improve that eCommerce area of their business going forward.
  • Peer-to-Peer Learning

This cluster will give online retailers the opportunity to get together, learn and improve their online offering through the eCommerce support and education on offer. Whether it be issues with online marketing, finding which platform best suits your business or the logistics of trading online, this is a great opportunity to discuss these issues with link minded owners / managers and tease out potential solutions.

The aim of the cluster is to give businesses the extra support, both advice and training to truly make a success of the online aspect of their business and to make sure that they will get a return for their investment of both time and money into their website. If you are interested in joining the cluster, please complete the Expression of Interest Form, available below and return it to the Cluster Coordinator, Margaret McKeon Boyle, at ecommerce@leo.monaghancoco.ie or alternatively, if you have any queries, please give our office a call on 047 71818.
