Join us on Friday 8th March at The Bridge House Hotel for a delightful afternoon tea dedicated to celebrating the incredible achievements of women.

This in-person event starts at 2pm and is a perfect opportunity to come together, network and honour the achievements and contributions of women in society.

Our Guest Speaker on the day is Eileen Fleming. Eileen is an All-Star Business Accredited Business Consultant & Mentor and founder of Dublin’s first Day Spa -The Buff Day Spa. With over 21 years of experience running her own successful business, Eileen’s consultancy services offer business mentoring, business consultancy and trusted expertise to help businesses reach their full potential. Eileen has systemised The Buff Day Spa to such an extent that it now runs without her daily involvement, allowing her to help other business owners free up their time to live the life they want. Eileen is an international speaker, a member of the Professional Speakers Association and Toastmasters and has spoken on a variety of topics including “Systemising your Business to run without you” and “Tailoring Leadership Styles to influence your Team” etc. She has recently been appointed Vice Chair of HABIC (Hair & Beauty Industry Confederation) Skillnet.

During her keynote speech, Eileen will delve into the significance of collaboration and connection in the realm of female entrepreneurship, drawing from her own business journey to show how these pillars have played a pivotal role in her success. Attendees can expect to gain insights and inspiration from Eileen's practical experiences and lessons learned along the way.

Two female entrepreneurs will also speak about their business journey.

Jane Walsh, Button Studio

Jane started her creative career with a degree in Ceramics from NCAD and after many twists and turns, she set up Button Studio over 13 years ago. Buttons Studio is a fun, vibrant craft business that makes unique colourful pieces by repurposing everyday ordinary things. Using the medium of clear resin and reclaimed she makes framed art pieces that celebrate all family milestones uniquely and thoughtfully.

Helen Bracken, Fox Covert Farm

Helen gruns a Tillage Farm with her husband Joe and son Kieran. Helen’s husband Joe introduced growing Hemp to the crop rotation on the farm as they were looking at ways to make the farm more sustainable while reducing their carbon footprint. Helen began researching the possibility of processing the Hemp Seeds. This involved educating themselves and the powers that be. Three and a half years later Fox Covert Farm have two Hemp products namely Hemp Hearts and Milled Hemp on a number of SuperValu Shelves, some local shops and growing and will be in Evergreen shops from next week.  Hemp Hearts and Milled Hemp are a Superfood with a mild nutty taste,  can be added to any meal to boost nutrition and build immunity.  Hemp is known as “Nature’s Purifier” due to its ability to sequester C02 and purify air up to four times more efficiently than trees.

This event has been organised by Local Enterprise Office Offaly in conjunction with Offaly Local Development Company

Places are limited and priority will be given to female entrepreneurs from Co. Offaly.
