#LookForLocal in South Cork this Christmas

Did you know? For every euro you spend on local products and services, it generates more than double for the local community.

This Christmas when you buy from local businesses, it'll make a real difference. Not only will you get first class gifts, products and outstanding experiences, but you'll also be playing your part in supporting local jobs, communities and businesses.

Our #LookForLocal campaign, which is funded by the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment, in partnership with Enterprise Ireland and the local authorities, aims to raise awareness of the benefit of shopping local. When consumers support local businesses, these businesses support many more behind the scenes, such as suppliers, manufacturers and service providers. This helps grow our local economy by creating new jobs and maintaining our Irish industries.

The #LookForLocal Christmas campaign officially launched yesterday at Government Buildings by An Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Leo Varadkar, along with Minister of State for Business, Employment and Retail, Damien English and Minister of State for Trade Promotion, Digital and Company Regulation, Robert Troy.

We were delighted to have one of our inspiring clients, Peigín Crowley of GROUND Wellbeing, representing LEO South Cork at the launch. Peigín was one of 5 business owners chosen to partake in the event. Peigín launched her business last year and has achieved enormous success with her wellness products, aimed at encouraging self-care.

The campaign will run for the next few weeks in order to help highlight local businesses and to encourage people to #LookForLocal. It will be advertised across local and national radio, as well as social and digital channels.
