Student Enterprise Companies

The Schools Enterprise Programme Awards Competition is the largest of its kind in the county, with over 26,000 budding entrepreneurs across the county researching, setting up and running their own enterprises, with support from their teachers and Local Enterprise Offices.

Students from 1st year to 6th year have the opportunity to set up and run their own business and find out what it’s really like to be an entrepreneur by taking part in this eight-month long enterprise education learning programme.

The Programme runs from August to June annually and students get to do everything a real-life entrepreneur would do including: idea generation, financial management and book-keeping, sales marketing and promotion, developing a digital marketing campaign and developing a business plan.

At the end of the Programme in June, one student business from each region and from each category, has the opportunity compete at the National Final for the ‘Student Enterprise of the Year’ award.
