One-to-one expert advice for pre start up/early stage/expansion phase of food production business owners in County Westmeath

Mentoring sessions are aimed at food business in a pre-start up phase or those that have been operating for less than 36 months. This clinic is targeted at Food producers, or those with an idea for a food product or service. The clinic could cover topics such as:

• Food business registration,
• Food safety legislation,
• HACCP,
• Allergen management,
• Packaging and labelling
• New product development and testing.

BiaSolutions is a Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety Consultancy. Their clients are predominantly involved in food manufacturing, storage and distribution but they also work with food service, hospitality and retail businesses. They provide internal audits and 3^rd party certified audits to ISO and BRC Global Standards. They work closely with LEOs in Meath and Westmeath providing training and mentoring on the design and implementation of HACCP and safety management systems.

Mentor: Jo- Anne Corcoran 

Jo-Anne Corcoran began her career in the food industry working for Kerry Foods directly upon finishing college where she gained an Honours Degree in Industrial Design before going on to qualify in Food Science and Technology. In Kerry Foods Jo-Anne learned best-practice in food safety and food production. Studying design has enabled Jo-Anne to think creatively and diversify into managing projects in various sectors over the last twenty years. Achieving Internal Auditor certification Food Standards and BRCGS  Auditor in Storage and Distribution as well as ISO Lead Auditor accreditation in Health and Safety has broadened the range of expertise Jo-Anne has to offer clients.

Delivery

This 1 Hour/ 1 hour & 15 mins session will be delivery via Zoom, online or telephone. The business mentor will contact business owners prior to the meeting to organise the exact time of meeting.
