Dublin City Libraries in association with Local Enterprise Office - Dublin City are pleased to announce a series of six free business lectures designed to empower potential entrepreneurs.
The lectures will cover subjects such as the characteristics needed to run and fund your business. Digital marketing strategies and writing business plans will also be included.

Understanding the creative process to become an entrepreneur
Speaker:Dermot Day examines what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur. He spent 5 years as a Chef before joining Motorola and IBM where he spent 13 years in various management roles including projects, production, logistics and inventory, using lean principles. Dermot left manufacturing in 2005 and moved into banking with Bank of Scotland Ireland as a bank manager. Dermot has a BA degree in business and entrepreneurship and became self-employed as a business coach and consultant. He is passionate about helping others to succeed and has volunteered, managed, and served on the board of his local community radio station. He enjoys stage acting, music and radio and has produced, edited and presented his own current affairs radio programme. He still has a love of food and is a certified HACCP Trainer.
