TikTok isn’t just for Gen Z anymore. It now has over half a Billion users everyday. Brands are hopping on the trends and seeing some serious results, and recent changes in how the platform works opens it up for business marketing.

Join Ken McHugh, Creative Director of Lefthand Productions, for an afternoon session that will open your eyes to the potential of TikTok for your business.

Starting from scratch, Ken will teach you how set up an account, navigate the platform and use the production tools. You will also discover how to create content that gets great engagement, stay on top of trends and reach new audience.

Post Brexit Conference: Sustaining & Building Cross -Border Cooperation & Trade hosted by Dundalk Chamber

 

Over a year since the end of the Brexit transition period, this Conference provides an update on the challenges, opportunities and support available to businesses post-Brexit & post-Covid.

This year’s Annual Cross-Border Conference will focus on sustaining and building cross-border co-operation and trade.  Both Brexit and Covid-19 have brought unprecedented change to the global trading environment. What help is available for businesses involved in North/South trade?

Key government representatives, policy officials and business advisors will set out the shape of future cross-border cooperation and trade for businesses. Case studies will demonstrate how businesses, both North and South have overcome significant challenges, using the supports available to navigate the changes in trade flows and identify opportunities for growth.

Exploring The Food Export Journey

Designed for food producers, don’t miss 3 of the most sought after speakers on food exporting brought together in one session.

James Burke will begin by explaining the food export journey; how to take your product from local to global. He will be joined by Colum O’Sullivan and Bruce Langlands to share their knowledge and insights.

Colum  is widely acknowledged as one of the most successful Irish food producers of the last decade. Cully and Sully, the brand he co-founded will Cullen Allen, has grown into a multi-million euro business, trading widely in international markets.

London based consultant, Bruce has had a stellar career in food retail and hospitality. Over 30 years he has worked in product development and executive roles with M&S, Superquinn, Harrods and most recently, and Executive Director of Food and Hospitality at Selfridges.

This promises to be a dynamic event with valuable learning opportunities for good producers.

Lean is a business process that helps business to be more effective and efficient. The process helps business to do things quicker, better and cheaper. It aims to stamp out waste and drive continuous improvement.

This industry-led network focuses on best practices and cutting-edge developments in lean enterprise, operational, and process excellence; lean thinking and practices; and continuous improvement. Developing a Winning Mindset with Eve McCrystal, Tokyo 2020 Gold Medalist

An event to mark International Women’s Day 2022, hosted by Network Louth and Local Enterprise Office Louth.

What does it take to be a winner? While physical preparation is crucial, no battle is won without the right mindset.

Eve McCrystal and Katie-George Dunlevy have been amongst the most successful Para Athletes ever to represent Ireland having medalled consistently at World and Paralympic Games since 2014.

Eve McCrystal is the pilot to Katie and is one of Ireland’s best cyclists having won multiple individual titles including National Time Trial Holder in 2020. Eve is mother to two young daughters; she put her career in An Garda Siochana on hold, stalled her social life, and dedicated herself entirely to cycling over the past couple of years.

Our MC for this evening’s event is Sinead Brassil, presenter and producer of the multi-award winning 11-1 Show on LMFM Radio.

In this one-to-one interview, Sinead and Eve will explore how to develop a winning mindset, overcoming doubt and fear and what it takes to stay on top.

This event marks International Women’s Day 2022 and is open to women across Louth and beyond.

Louth Student Enterprise Awards 2022

 

This marks the highpoint of the Louth Student Enterprise Programme for 2022.

Since September, secondary school students from all over the county have taken part in the Student Enterprise Programme. Each one has learned the fundamentals of running a business and had the experience of setting up and running their business.

The Louth Student Enterprise Awards 2022 will see winners announced in 3 categories (Junior, Intermediate and Senior). Winners will go forward to represent Louth at the National Final of the Student Enterprise of the Year in May 2022.
