We are continuing our ‘Go Green’ series and are delighted to partner with Climate Action ( Monaghan County Council) , SSE Airtricity and SEAI to mark Climate Action week 2025.
If you are confused by all the talk of Green Grants for businesses, we don’t blame you! Regrettably, there is no magic one stop grant solution and depending on the specific needs of the business, it may require exploring options by multiple agencies.
SSE Airtricity Energy Services ( AES) will outline practical examples of energy saving initiatives installed by SME businesses in the north east area, that can be adopted by most businesses. Also covered will be information on the newly introduced SEAI Business Energy Upgrade Scheme and associated grants that can be applied for online via SEAI website and are generally approved in 24 hours.
LEO Monaghan will be speaking about the impact of the Energy Efficiency Grant and will outline practical examples of where local SME’s have reduced their kWh / energy consumption by replacing inefficient equipment. Eilín from LEO Monaghan will outline eligibility criteria of the Energy Efficiency Grant and what costs it covers:
- Equipment (>10 years) replacement,/upgrade such as refrigeration unit, engineering equipment, electric stream boiler, electric oven, industrial dishwasher
- System components such as variable speed drivers, pumps, fans, condensers, cold room doors
- Meters & installation costs
