Local Enterprise Week 2022

Local Enterprise Week 2022 was such a busy and exciting week, we are already looking forward to 2023's LEW!

This year's Local Enterprise Week was all about '#Making it Happen', and brought business people from a wide variety of sectors and industries together as it sought to take businesses to the next level with a variety of inspiring online events between 7th -11th March 2022.

The schedule included twelve ‘Spotlight’ events, which were organised by individual Local Enterprise Offices and were open to every business across the country. With over 220 events taking place in person and online, this year's Local Enterprise Week brought together some of Ireland’s leading business owners, managers and entrepreneurs. The events covered many different areas of running and operating a business and were designed to help prepare for the challenges businesses face in the current climate. To check out these events and find out what supports and programmes are the best fit for your business, please click here to view: Watch Back Portal.

LEO Waterford Spotlight Events:

LEO Waterford hosted the Social Media MashUp spotlight event designed to help businesses discover the true power of social media for their business and offered lots of tips and tricks to benefit businesses.

Working off the premise that it is vital that businesses include social media as part of their business strategy, this event tragetted business owners and managers who want to ensure they optimise their current social media platforms and are prepared for future trends.  Featuring a host of social media experts, who discussed topics such as apps you can use to enhance your social media offering, the importance of blogging/vlogging, digital marketing and future trends such as influencer marketing, long form and short form snackable content.  This event was MC'd by Teresanne O'Reilly, MD of The Forest and the panellists included Samantha Kelly, Jordan Casey, Colm Williamson, Sheila Gallogly and Paul Dower.

LEO Waterford also hosted Roadmap to Funding & Supports for Innovative Business Ideas for businesses starting up in Ireland, setting out support agency and funding options available for businesses with innovative ideas. 

This event hosted a panel of experts from the Local Enterprise Office, Enterprise Ireland, South East BIC, New Frontiers, South East Technology and Klearcom; and provided key information on funding, supports and guidance on how to engage with the LEO, Enterprise Ireland and other agencies.
