FAB Waterford Business Woman of the Year

Christine Theze announced FAB Waterford Business Woman of the Year

Local restaurateur Christine Theze took the overall award of FAB Waterford Business Woman of the Year 2014 at a gala lunch event at Dooley's Hotel on Friday, May 16th.

Christine, who runs and owns La Boheme Restaurant with her chef husband Eric, was visibly overcome with emotion when her name was called out. Earlier in the proceedings she walked away with the award for Best in Food/Agri Food Business for her continued determination to make their French restaurant one of the most sought after dining experiences in Waterford.

The annual event which is sponsored by Waterford Local Enterprise Office (LEO) saw over 100 business people enjoy a delicious lunch at Dooley's Hotel and were addressed by Deputy Mayor of Waterford, Cllr Tom Cunningham and last year's winner and CEO of Beat 102 103 Gabrielle Cummins who gave an inspirational talk on how she has succeeded in business.

Speaking at the event, Jacqui Gaule, of Waterford LEO said she was delighted to see so many businesses represented. "The standard of businesses here today is absolutely fantastic. It is so encouraging to see so many women at the top of their profession, be it as an employee or employer or by taking the brave step in opening their own business. There is a lot of hard work being done in Waterford and these women here today pay testament to that."
