AI for Marketing

It’s becoming increasingly challenging for small businesses to keep up with content creation, digital marketing tasks, and customer communications. AI tools such as ChatGPT now offer practical, time-saving solutions. This course will help participants understand how to apply AI safely, ethically, and effectively across their marketing activities. Suitable for business owners who want to improve productivity, streamline their marketing operations, and learn how AI can support their day-to-day work.

Objectives:

At the end of the workshop(s) each participant will:

• Understand what Artificial Intelligence is and how it applies to small business marketing.
• Be aware of key AI tools and features (including ChatGPT) and know how to use them effectively.
• Be able to use AI to generate marketing content, improve efficiency, and support a responsible and compliant approach to digital marketing.

Course Content

• Introduction to AI & ChatGPT – a walkthrough of how AI works and the practical ways it supports marketing tasks.
• Writing effective prompts using prompt-engineering techniques; all attendees will receive a prompts eBook.
• Understanding the EU AI Act and the Irish Government’s Seven Principles for Responsible AI.
• Using AI tools to create content plans, website copy, blogs, newsletters and social posts.
• Image and video AI tools – how to quickly create visuals for marketing campaigns.
• Customising AI outputs to reflect your business tone of voice.
• Data privacy, accessibility and equality considerations – including an AI accessibility checklist.
• Ensuring accuracy, mitigating misinformation, and reviewing outputs before publishing.
