Applications now open for the Westmeath County Enterprise Awards 2019

The National Enterprise Awards competition is organised annually by the Local Enterprise Office Network to acknowledge the achievements of the small business sector.

The competition is sponsored nationally by the network of Local Enterprise Offices and is the only national competition specifically for the micro-enterprise sector. It is hosted on an annual basis to acknowledge the achievements of small enterprise and their valuable contribution to the local economy. The competition is open to Westmeath Businesses who have received one of the following;

  • Financial Support from LEO Westmeath or Westmeath County Enterprise Board
  • LEO Innovation Investment Fund (LIIF) Support
  • IBYE Financial Support
  • TAME Support

Eligible businesses will employ ten or less staff (as of 31/12/2017) and previous County winners may re-enter. 

The completed application form, business plan and financial accounts to be submitted by 22nd February 2019.

The county final will be held on March 7th  as part of Enterprise Week 2019, with the judging to take place the week previous. The Awards Ceremony is a celebration of the diverse range of businesses in the County, and a great Networking event.

Entries will be judged in accordance to marketing strengths, financial strength, innovation & technology, entrepreneurial skills and business plan.

  • Overall winner
  • Best Start Up
  • Best Innovation

The National Enterprise Awards will take place in Dublin on May 29th 2019 and the County Winner will go forward to represent Westmeath in the National Finals and compete against 31 winning firms from around the country.
