Objectives:
To equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence to deliver access and evaluate a training and development intervention.  To ensure that the participants have the necessary skills, knowledge and attitude to deal with any challenges that a trainer may encounter.  To update them with the best approaches in training methodology and delivery.  To award QQI certification, Training Delivery and Evaluation, Level 6 6N3326.  

Contents:
This programme works on three levels.  Firstly it explores the total training role.  The next element is selection of the most effective, efficient and appropriate methods to deliver various types of training.  Thirdly it trains how to prepare and deliver the training.

-    A brief history of training and adult education (the emergence of best practice).
-    The role of the trainer
-    Training administration
-    Designing a training session
-    Planning and preparing to train
-    Delivering training
-    Assessing and testing learners
-    Evaluating your training delivery

At the end of this programme you will be able to:

-    Devise your own 'Best Practice' guide for training
-    Apply the principles of adult learning to ensure successful outcomes for your training
-    Create the most appropriate learning environment
-    Write a training lesson or class plans
-    Include effective training games
-    Be more creative and innovative in delivering your training
-    Understand how people learn
-    Be familiar with the adult learning cycle
-    Understand how brain-friendly learning works
-    Apply the most appropriate of the 6 training interventions
-    Understand the relationship between objectives and learning methods
-    Select and use the most effective methods of learning
-    Be aware of issues including equality, diversity and disability with regard to training provision
-    Be more confident in delivering your training interventions
-    Build instant rapport with your trainees
-    Communicate more effectively
-    Be a better listener
-    Be able to question effectively
-    Be confidently able to manage, motivate and control your learners
-    Apply coaching techniques as a trainer
-    Motivate your trainees to use this learning
-    Select the most appropriate assessment methods
-    Be competent in managing training appraisals and delivering feedback to learners
